Kate Moss for Mango, spring 2012

Got a Kate Moss for Mango (modeling, not guest designing) spring catalog home and damn, now I have to admit that I if I’d have a fat bank account and the clothes would fit, I would go and buy pretty much everything from this collection. Rarely I see collections that interest me as much as this one, Mango is getting better and better. It is not too complicated, just simple and stylish.

What makes the collection even better is that it is actually amazingly budget friendly. Come on, 30€ for a pair of jeans?! I’m going to Mango.

Tarsala Creation by Juha Tarsala

Ooooh I want these sequin sneakers from Tarsala Creation, a company owned by Finnish shoe designer Juha Tarsala! My gold mania is still here, if it’s not a bicycle it’s a Ferrari or a pair of shoes.

I love his dress shoes for men as well, if I were a guy, hell yea… I know they look like something an Italian playboy would wear with his hair combed back and at least 3 buttons open on his white tight shirt to expose the chest hair or muscles or gold chain or whatever. That’s what I see when I look at them. But they’re cool, really.

I have a new Aussie crush – Aje

Some red carpet events needed, those dresses are fabulous! I almost think Aje became my number one favorite fashion brand from Australia now, not that I don’t adore Bec & Bridge, Sass & Bide, Shakuhachi, Ellery etc anymore… but wow, these collections are just outstanding. So some of my favorite pieces (read: I want them all) from Aje by Edwina Robinson (Eddi) and Adrian Norris (Aje) introduced to you here. They have an online shop on their website a-j-e.com.au and worldwide delivery available. Facebook page here. And Adrian tweeting from this Twitter account – support if you like what you see.

My heart is bursting – Makia Raglan Parka & Nokia Lumia 800

Approx. two months ago my mum called me from a shop and told me she she was standing there trying on her dream jacket. 299€ for a jacket from MAKIA. She asked me should she buy it and I said no, it’s not worth the price. Around one week later she called me again, from the same shop, and said now she’s buying it anyway (thanks for the info). I didn’t think any jacket could be worth the 299€, but now when I’ve seen it (and tried it on!) I totally get the point – now I want one as well. The thing my mum was less excited about was that I happened to want same color as she has, and then we would obviously have to check what the other is wearing every time we see each other – it would be so uncool to turn up in the same jackets.

This was before I tried on the yellow version. I have now really found my dream jacket and the price is killing me! Buttons are falling off these jackets (maybe it was just one bad batch and bad luck, but the point is that if you think that 300€ will give you perfect quality you might be wrong) and some of the zippers felt so annoying that they might not survive in my use. Still I’m so attached to that damn jacket that I might even consider paying the full price and hope it will last for the next 5 years, so I wouldn’t have to regret I spent a fortune on a jacket…

PS. Dropin is having a d-days sale… so if you’re in Helsinki and if you want that jacket as much as I do, try your luck in the Kauppakeskus Forum shop, you might find your size and color with a 20% discount tag. Hurry up before 27.11., but I have a feeling they might be sold out before that…

The other side of my heart belongs to the Nokia Lumia 800 that I got on a two month trial today. I can’t stop looking at it, it’s so beautiful. In London I absolutely did get pissed off when I realized it wouldn’t – at least yet – come with an N8 quality camera (and sort of that it didn’t come with the NFC either, but I personally do not feel I must get NFC, so it’s the camera that mainly bothers me). But when I look at the tiles and compare them with the Symbian platform layout and the icons and how outdated those actually look compared to this… come on, the camera can’t be that bad, maybe I can survive with it although it’s not an N8! I just can’t let go off the tiles anymore, they’re here to stay.
