A couple of days ago I did the same thing as I did in 2010 – trying to get my hair closer to my original color from the dark brown. In 2010 I dyed back to the dark brown after a while because I didn’t achieve the color shade I was hoping for. My advice is don’t try to do these things at home, not worth it when a pro does it better – and even more importantly, be patient, and don’t expect miracles after the first round of bleaching as dark brown to dark blonde takes some time and effort if you want a good result.
 
This time there’s no way back to the brown anymore. I even like this temporary pale orange blonde more than I liked the brown. Three hours of bleaching didn’t kill the hair – it’s still there, but needs some rest before the next round. It’s not that bad, in some lights it looks quite orange (third pic), but if I next time mix in more cold shades, then I’ll soon have the perfect hair. Not my original color, that’s impossible to achieve and the only option is to wait while the hair is growing, but at least a color that is as close as possible to the original color. Worth the wait!
 
Had to use the opportunity to show a few favorites in the accessories section – the watch, love love love, and the necklace I bought in Madeira. It’s heavy!
