Cafe Cowboy – inspiration to those who do what they love to do

Cars, Motorcycles, Video   /   Tags: ,

I got the link to this Cafe Cowboy video about bike builder Dustin Kott, who makes custom British style Cafe racers out of old japanese bikes, emailed to me by a reader who had found this post, thank you. I’ve gotten some really nice messages from readers by the way, I just find it super inspiring to read about the passion these people have for cars, bikes and their own projects.

A while ago I read a thread in a car forum about a guy modifying his Saab, adding new body parts like side skirts, rebuilding the front, widening wheel arches… and it was his first time building anything like that, and he learned while doing and you were able to follow the process with photos. I might not think that all the tuning cars out there look good – actually very few look good in my opinion, so I suppose I am quite picky when it comes to messing around with the body (unless it’s RWB, hehe) – but now I have developed a huge respect for the guys doing that stuff. First of all most of them do it to please themselves, so who cares if I don’t like the final result – they like it, and most likely a lot of other persons like it too. But they do it because they have a passion for creating, building and customizing, so who am I to judge them for doing what they love. Instead of thinking that car looks stupid I need to start thinking that the owner of that car is driving something he personally loves. What could be more awesome than that?!

However the video wasn’t about cars this time, it’s about bikes, but it’s an inspiring video once again.
