I can’t believe he isn’t more widely known yet, why haven’t people found this brilliant fashion designer? Big big mistake. The elements of refinement and fine tailoring are two characteristics of Carlos Luna and his ready to wear collection. His passion for fashion, while ensuring women embody those characteristics with a modern update, has already catapulted Carlos into the fashion “Who’s Who” of fashion.

His curiosity with fashion began as a little boy growing up in Colombia, when he sometimes watched his mom create small scale designs with her sewing machine. He continued to dream of becoming a designer and after completing high school in his native country he departed for the United States. Carlos knew he wanted to attend a design school where he would acquire the best skills needed to accomplish his dream and master his craftsmanship. He enrolled at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City, where he was accepted and attended.

Carlos Luna has already received praises, after showing his first collection during the New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2011 collections showing. He was well received after his collection debut and has been invited to show at private fund-raiser galas. Stay tuned, because great things are yet to come and Carlos Luna is just getting started.
