Milan to Bologna to Rimini – travel tips needed!
I have to start with my daily disappointment.
Why are there no WordPress map plugins that would allow anyone to contribute to the map? I would have liked to find one that lets anyone pin interesting places on the map for me, but no. And why can’t you make a Pinterest board open for all, so anyone could pin stuff to the board and you would just be the moderator of it? Now they offer you the option to invite people from Pinterest, or by email, to contribute to a board. I would however like it to be open to everyone, without invitation. It would probably be possible to create a pretty epic travel board there if anyone could add images of their recommendations for that area, but no. No no no.
Now when I have whined a little, the post can officially start. Some readers maybe guessed it after the “Can’t wait.” in this post, for those that didn’t, I am on my way to Italy for around 16-17 days in May and June. I will be from 25.5. to 31.5. in the BlogVille Emilia Romagna Bologna apartment, and from 2.6. to 7.6. in the Rimini apartment. I will also spend a few nights in Milan. Now I want all of you who have been there in these cities or nearby to tell me what I should see and do!
In BOLOGNA I plan to take the Lamborghini factory tour, Pagani factory tour and possibly check out the Ferrari museum. I would like the Ferrari factory tour, but it’s only available for owners – so if you live nearby and own a Ferrari and want a factory day with me, then I am available for a one day loan!
But that is all I have planned so far, so now it is your turn to recommend things. Any local small fashion designers with showrooms? Any special places where I can get awesome car photos, other than those listed before? Any super good food I just have to taste?
In RIMINI I have only kitesurfing planned so far. To be completely honest I wasn’t sure if there is much more to do than dress up in a bikini and enter a crowded beach, but I am not really interested in that, so I am going to find other interesting things to do. I usually manage to find interesting things everywhere, so I am sure Rimini has a lot of things to offer and great places to see, I just need to find out where they are! Any good tips?
Because it is so close, I absolutely want to see SAN MARINO with Monte Titano.
In MILAN I plan to stay a few nights, and for that I haven’t booked a hotel yet, so I take hotel recommendations too. Central location is what I want, other than that, it really doesn’t matter how fancy it is… I don’t want to sleep with bugs though, so decent quality hotels. Although I will probably end up just walking around the city and looking at the normal tourism attractions, I wouldn’t mind hearing if someone has a better idea of what to do there! Obviously anything car related in Milan would be of interest.
Please comment with some travel tips, or tweet them to me, or write on my Facebook page, or email me – will add everything of interest to my map and hopefully I can explore some epic places in May and June!
