I browsed around the internet today because I feel I don’t know what Finnish fashion designers have to offer these days… and I’m quite speechless. This is just the beginning of what I found, more to come, but I had no idea there could exist so many droolable pieces made by local designers…

First up is Katri Niskanen, who I actually have mentioned once before in the blog, but perhaps I didn’t expect her to become this successful. Because now she is already a big name in Finland and – as you can see – designing pieces we might soon see in international fashion weeks and worldwide magazine editorials, no doubt about that. And I was in heaven when I chose the photos for this post, because rarely I find so many garments from the same designer that I want to own. Now it just happened, wasn’t even hard to choose.

Her website – online shop supposed to open in August according to the website information, now we have October, but good things are worth waiting for I guess… a while, actually I’m already quite anxious, so hurry

Katri Niskanen is a Finnish designer, a graduate of the highly-respected Lahti Institute of Design. She became known to the wider public after winning the first Finnish Project Runway i.e. Muodin Huipulle in December 2009. Katri is living and working in Helsinki. Her clothes can be described as beautiful, feminine, and elegant.
